The Wisconsin Humane Society Green Bay Campus’s mission is to make a difference for animals and the people who love them. We rely on generous donations from individuals like you to provide lifesaving care and shelter to thousands of animals each year in our community. To all these animals, we offer clean kennels, warm beds, loving hearts, and medical attention. The Wisconsin Humane Society never euthanizes for time or space; all animals in our adoption program have as long as it takes to find a new loving home. Here are just a couple of the many heartwarming success stories thanks to your support:

Meet Muffin:

Muffin arrived at our Green Bay Campus as nervous as she was sweet. Concerning signs of more significant problems led our veterinary team to X-ray the sweet girl’s abdomen, where they discovered a bladder stone that required surgical removal. Just two days later, all that reluctance disappeared entirely. Post-surgery, she was feeling great and ready to make friends. All that practice charming our staff certainly paid off… Just four hours after being cleared for adoption, she was on her way home with a brand-new family. They told us their daily routines are now fully supervised as Muffin loves to perch upon their shoulders while they go about their business.

Meet Tom Hanks:

This handsome 2-year-old was all on his own when he approached a kind stranger seeking help. Despite an injured ear and puncture wounds on both his legs and neck, he could not have been more friendly and outgoing when he arrived at the WHS Green Bay Campus. With such a genuinely friendly heart, we couldn’t help but name him Tom Hanks.

We cleaned him up, started him on meds to keep him free of potential infections, and monitored his progress. He quickly charmed our team and before long, pictures and stories were being shared across our campuses about just how extraordinary this boy was. As you can imagine, it did not take Mr. Hanks long to catch the eye of a new family and since his adoption, we’ve learned he is fitting in perfectly. For a single mother with three sons already at home, this very good boy has made an excellent addition.

Besides caring for over 3,000 animals annually, the WHS Green Bay Campus also provides low-cost vaccine, microchip, and spay/neuter options to the public, volunteer and foster programs, a retail store, and reunites lost pets with their families. With your support, we have the tools and resources needed to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome some of the most vulnerable animals in our care, as well as offer additional vital services to our community.

The Green Bay Packers and other generous donors are providing $500,000 in matching funds in partnership with the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation. Organizations are granted funds based on the percentage of total dollars raised. Every dollar you contribute through this webpage will have an even greater impact not only for our organization but to all of the nonprofits involved. You CAN make a difference in our community!

WHS operates shelters in Brown, Door, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, and Racine Counties, as well as a spay/neuter clinic in West Allis. We are an independent nonprofit and receive no general government funding and are not part of any national umbrella group.
